Based on cumulative performance on Billboard’s Holiday 100 chart through last holiday season, the Billboard Holiday Countdown is a festive journey from No. 100 to No. 1 spanning decades and generations of time-honored hits. Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums Chart Returns for 2025, Led by ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ The 25 Best Christmas Songs of the 21st Century (So Far): Staff Picks The Billboard Holiday Countdown unwraps musical gifts from evergreen stars including Bobby Helms, Burl Ives, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley and Andy Williams mixing merrily with hits by the likes of Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande and Pentatonix. The Billboard Holiday Countdown marks the latest partnership between SiriusXM and Billboard. Previous features include the Billboard Latin Music Week Channel, the Billboard Top 500 R&B Countdown, the Billboard Top 500 Summer Hits Countdown, the Billboard Women of Pop Countdown and the Billboard #2 Countdown Channel. Additionally, SiriusXM’s Big 40 Countdown, on 80s on 8, and the Back in the Day Replay, on ‘90s on 9 are based on historical weekly Billboard Hot 100 charts, with other surveys counted down on 70s on 7 and Prime Country. Meanwhile, the Billboard Holiday Countdown accompanies the annual return of Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums chart. The soundtrack to Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas led the Nov. 1-dated list, followed by Vince Guaraldi Trio’s A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack at No. 2 and Michael Bublé’s Christmas at No. 3, Sabrina Carpenter’s Fruitcake EP at No. 4 and Carey’s Merry Christmas at No. 5.
