A month ago, I shared my thoughts on the delights of tawah toast, which centres around the simple, yet satisfying combination of bread and butter. What sets tawah toast apart is that the bread is buttered on both sides before being toasted, elevating it beyond ordinary toast. Since then, I’ve engaged in numerous conversations — both online and in person — about the significance of bread and butter, exploring how these two elements complement each other both literally and metaphorically.
