Sify Technologies reports Q2 net loss of ₹27.5 crore

Sify Technologies, a Chennai-based ICT service and solution provider, reported a net loss of ₹27.5 crore for the second quarter ended September 31, 2025 as against a net profit of ₹10.2 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. The loss was due to a 49 per cent increase in interest expense on borrowings and liabilities of ₹91.4 crore (₹64.1 crore). Revenue during the quarter was up 2.51 per cent to ₹1,053 crore. The revenue split between the businesses was network services at 41 per cent, Data Centre services - 39 per cent and Digital services - 20 per cent. The company’s Data Centre arm, Sify Infinit Spaces, which has filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for an initial public offering (IPO) to raise up to ₹3,700 crore, commissioned 3 MW of additional data centre capacity during the quarter, said a release. As of September 30, Sify provides services via 1196 fiber nodes across the country, a 12 per cent increase over the same quarter last year. Capex spent during the quarter was ₹306 crore. The cash balance at the end of the quarter was ₹414 crore, the release said. Decisive phase Raju Vegesna, Chairman, Sify, said in a release that India’s digital transformation is entering a decisive phase, redefining its role in the global technology ecosystem. The acceleration in cloud adoption, AI integration and data centre expansion underscores India’s emergence as the next hub for digital infrastructure. MP Vijay Kumar, ED & Group CFO, said, “ The current phase of expansion across our data centre, network and digital platforms reflects deliberate choices to build future-ready capabilities. The loss in our IT services business represents our continued investment to prepare ourselves for the opportunities ahead.” Published on October 27, 2025
