Sierra Blanca Estates’ dedication to Costa del Sol

For over 40 years, Sierra Blanca Estates has redefined luxury residential development on Spain’s Costa del Sol, in which they have cleverly employed a mix of innovation, wellness, and sustainability. The company’s flagship project, Torre del Río, exemplifies the vision by revolutionising luxury living while driving urban transformation along the Costa del Sol. By integrating high-quality architecture with public spaces and the best services, Sierra Blanca has elevated Malaga Province’s international real estate profile and encouraged sustainable urban regeneration. One landmark initiative is the transformation of Malaga’s El Bulto neighbourhood with a pioneering project under Andalucia’s new Land Law. As the first to adopt the “urbanising agent” model, Sierra Blanca collaborates with local authorities to develop housing, sports facilities, green spaces, and a two-storey cultural centre that bridges the neighbourhood’s historical roots with modern Malaga. The project includes modernising the Atletico Malaga Football Club’s facilities, adding underground parking, and improving road access with over 400 new parking spaces. Central to Sierra Blanca’s mission is social responsibility. The El Bulto project features 80 affordable housing units (VPO) to go partwayto addressing Malaga’s housing crisis. The company is also developing over 370 VPO units across the Costa del Sol, including 25 in Marbella’s Arroyo Palomeras and 270 in Hacienda de Cortes. “We cannot ignore the housing access crisis,” said Pedro Rodríguez, president of Sierra Blanca, stressing the company’s commitment to social cohesion. Other than housing, Sierra Blanca promotes sports as a tool for social integration by sponsoring Marbella Football Club, the Reserve Cup, and athletes in adapted sports. The upcoming Rafa Nadal Club in Malaga will further encourage healthy lifestyles among Costa del Sol residents. Through its Sierra Blanca Foundation, the company supports cultural and educational initiatives, partnering with organisations like the Gasol Foundation and Caritas, reinforcing its dedication to community welfare and sustainable development.
