Staff Reporter Several interior areas experienced moderate to heavy showers recently, particularly in the central regions. This includes Windhoek, which saw varying rainfall, with areas such as Academia, Hochland Park, and Pioneers Park recording light to moderate rain totalling between 14 and 16 mm, while other areas, such as Avis and Ludwigsdorf, saw more intense showers, recording over 40 mm. Other central areas also received showers, including Omateva in the Khomas Region, which recorded 4.5 mm between yesterday and this morning, and Drie Krone in the same region, which saw about 16 mm. Other places beyond the Khomas Region also saw some rainfall, including Wilhelmstal in the Erongo Region, Grootfontein in the Otjozondjupa Region, and Witvlei in the Omaheke Region. According to the Namibia Meteorological Service, more rainfall is expected in the central, northern, and southern areas from today.
