ATLANTIC CITY — Anthony Faranca is stepping down as general manager of the Showboat Resort Atlantic City.
The casino-hospitality industry veteran said Thursday he will be taking on an expanded role with Think Hospitality, the Showboat’s management partner.
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such a talented group of professionals at the Showboat Resort,” he said in a statement. “Together, we achieved a record year in 2024 and strengthened both the property and Atlantic City’s hospitality landscape.
“Our management partner, Think Hospitality, has now invited me to take on a greater leadership role in Miami, Florida,” Faranca said. “At the end of October, my family and I will be relocating to pursue this next chapter. I leave with immense gratitude for the progress we have made and the milestones we have celebrated together. I wish my colleagues at Showboat and across Atlantic City continued success in the years ahead.”
Brandon Dixon, president of Tower Investments, developer Bart Blatstein’s company, wished Faranca well.
“We’re thrilled he’s staying within the family,” Dixon said. “This is something he wanted to do, and we support him in it. We’re happy for him.”
Faranca was hired in January 2024 as general manager of the Showboat, the former Atlantic City casino now doing business as a non-gambling resort.
He previously worked as president of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
Faranca also has worked as regional vice president of national casino marketing for Caesars Entertainment in Atlantic City, as well as management jobs at Parx Casino in Pennsylvania, Station Casinos in Las Vegas and the Live! Casino in Hanover, Maryland.
