Shoppers say 'don't knock it until you've tried it' as new £5 treat hits shelves

M&S has appeared to split opinions this week after revealing a new £5 treat, which some shoppers have appeared to be quite unsure about. While some shoppers have described the item as being “totally divine” others have described the concept as “not okay”, with one shopper even suggesting the treat may be a late April Fool joke. Shoppers have spotted new Pecan and Salted Caramel Blondies in M&S ‘s food halls this week. However some shoppers have been shocked to see they contain a “hint of Marmite”. The item, which appears to already be causing controversy between some shoppers, is one of the latest items to be introduced as part of M&S’s new Marmite range . So far, the range includes pizza, mac and cheese, sausage rolls and sandwiches, which are all fused with Marmite. On the popular Facebook page , Newfoodsuk, one shopper Stacey Grint wrote: “These are so good ….” Another, Ali Johnston, also wrote: “They are actually really nice.” A third, Jacqueline Innes, wrote: “Totally Devine !” As another, Mark Trigger, suggested: “These are delicious.” However the new £5 cakes appear to have caused some controversy with some shoppers – including those who love Marmite. Shopper Gina Lovegrove wrote: “I love maramite but this is not okay.” Another shopper, Victoria Morgan, added: “I was convinced this was AI until I saw it (and other abominations) in a store. I wasn’t tempted!” A third, Judy Moore, then shared: “The food at M and S is getting a little strange, but don’t knock it till you’ve tried it, which I wont be.” Another shopper, Nicola Beal, then queried: “April fool!?
