HCL Technologies founder Shiv Nadar, along with his family, has topped the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025, donating a remarkable ₹2,708 crore in the past year. The 80-year-old billionaire gave ₹7.4 crore per day, earning the title of ‘India’s Most Generous’ for the fourth consecutive year. Over the past five years, Nadar has contributed a total of ₹10,122 crore, with the majority of his donations directed towards education. His philanthropic efforts are channelled through the Shiv Nadar Foundation, established in 1994, and include institutions such as Shiv Nadar University and VidyaGyan, providing opportunities for young minds across India.
