Shippensburg University Small Business Development Center to expand services to Dauphin County
The Shippensburg University Small Business and Development Center will expand its services to include Dauphin County beginning in 2026.
The center currently serves Cumberland, Franklin, Adams, and York counties.
The center provides no-cost confidential consulting and low-cost training to small business owners and potential entrepreneurs.
The Shippensburg University Small Business and Development Center is part of a statewide network of 15 centers that serve all 67 counties in Pennsylvania.
In 2024, the center served 627 clients and supported 64 new businesses.
Funding and resources for the center are provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and Shippensburg University.

We look forward to becoming a trusted partner and an integral part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Dauphin County,” Robin Burtner, director of the Shippensburg University Small Business and Development Center, said in a news release.
The Shippensburg University Small Business and Development Center is located in the John L. Grove College of Business building at Shippensburg University. With construction underway in Kriner Hall, the Shippensburg University Small Business and Development will soon join the Charles H. Diller Jr. Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation and the Mr. and Mrs. Milton K. Morgan III Makerspace in a newly renovated space.
Shippensburg University is located in Shippensburg Township, Cumberland County.
