Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Shilpa Shetty starrer Main Khiladi Tu Anari has completed 31 years since its release in 1994. Directed by Sameer Malkan, the action-comedy not only defined an era in Hindi cinema but also marked an important milestone in Shilpa Shetty’s career while further popularising Akshay Kumar as Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi.’ It also cemented Saif Ali Khan’s status as one of the leading men of the ’90s.
To celebrate the special milestone, Shilpa Shetty treated her fans to a glimpse of the evergreen romantic track Chura Ke Dil Mera.

On September 23, Shilpa, 50, took to Instagram to share a clip of the superhit romantic number Chura Ke Dil Mera from the 1994 hit. Sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik, who lent their voices to several songs in the film, the track continues to be one of Hindi cinema’s most iconic love songs, cherished across generations even three decades later. Picturised by Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar, the song played a significant role in the film’s massive success.
Sharing the video, Shilpa wrote, “31 years of Main Khiladi Tu Anari,” while tagging Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Shakti Kapoor and the makers of the film.

Main Khiladi Tu Anari: Plot
The film starred Akshay Kumar as Inspector Karan Joglekar, Saif Ali Khan as romantic actor Deepak Kumar in the lead roles, with Shilpa Shetty portraying Mona/Basanti opposite Akshay’s character.
The story follows a police officer and a film star who team up to take down a criminal. With its action-packed sequences, rib-tickling comedy, sizzling chemistry between the leads, and chartbuster songs like Chura Ke Dil Mera, the film instantly became a fan favourite.
Main Khiladi Tu Anari: Cast and Crews
Alongside Akshay, Saif and Shilpa the film stars Rageshwari, Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan, Johny Lever, Mukesh Khanna and Raveena Tandon in significant roles.
Directed by Sameer Malkan, the screenplay was written by Sachin Bhowmik. It was bankrolled by Venus World Entertainment. The music was composed by Anu Malik, with legendary singers Asha Bhosle, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and others lending their voices to the hit soundtrack. Two songs from the film Chura Ke Dil Mera and Main Khiladi Tu Anari were later recreated in Hungama 2 and Selfiee, respectively.
The film went on to become one of the top five highest-grossing Indian films of 1994.
