Now, while the frustration has fueled calls for a coaching change, Boogie Knight has stepped up to reveal the real reason behind Colorado’s growing problems. On Sunday, Boogie Knight, also known as “Boog,” who has mentored Shedeur Sanders since his fifth grade, and represents the CU alum turned Browns backup, shared his thoughts on Colorado’s future. “Coach Prime will get CU football back to the top,” wrote Boog. “A lot of unforeseen circumstances arose this year. We took it on the chin like a champ. Moving forward, there will be a lot of evolution.” It is true that your head coach battling health issues can affect more than just strategy. And if history offers any lesson, Sanders has shown he knows how to rebuild from adversity. His record speaks for itself. A 27-6 mark at Jackson State, an undefeated 12-0 run in 2022, and a Colorado debut season that generated over $340 million in media impact. Still, the growing unrest in Boulder has reignited debate about the program’s direction. Addressing that tension, Sanders said, “There’s no more patience in this world. How do we exude patience when we could call up right now and get a pizza delivered right here? Everything is expeditious in this country; everyone wants the quick fix, the quick things.” While rebuilding demands patience, Sanders responded to the mounting struggles with a bold move.
