Shatta Wale is the most difficult artiste I’ve ever managed – Bullgod

Artiste manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has revealed that dancehall star Shatta Wale is the most difficult artiste he has ever managed in his career.

Speaking in an interview with George Quaye on Joy Prime on Wednesday October 1, Bullgod admitted that working with Shatta Wale came with numerous challenges that almost cost him his personal and professional relationships.

“The most difficult management ever? Oh, it would be Shatta Wale,” Bullgod said. “For him, I nearly made enemies with everybody that I had built a relationship with along the way.”

He recounted how Wale’s controversial nature and outspoken behavior often landed him in trouble with industry stakeholders and media houses.

“You did Joy FM, you did YFM, you did Peace FM — everywhere he went, he would talk and start another fire,” Bullgod explained. “At that time, I was also working with Charterhouse, and if your artiste insults your boss and his wife, you can imagine the feeling. It wasn’t easy at all.”

Despite describing the experience as tormenting, Bullgod said managing Shatta Wale was ultimately a test of patience and resilience for him.

“It wasn’ easy… but I think it was a test for me, and I’m hoping I did well with the test,” he added.

Shatta Wale, known for his outspoken personality and frequent controversies, has been one of Ghana’s most dominant music figures. His relationship with Bullgod, though rocky at times, is also regarded as one of the most impactful artiste-manager partnerships in Ghana’s entertainment history.
