Sharon Osbourne 'not OK' after Ozzy's death as son Jack gives heartbreaking update

Jack Osbourne has shared a heartbreaking update on how his mum Sharon is coping following the death of her beloved husband, Ozzy.

Black Sabbath legend Ozzy passed away died in July at the age of 76, just 17 days after taking to the stage to reunite with his Black Sabbath bandmates for the Back to the Beginning concert.

Ozzy and Sharon had moved back to Buckinghamshire from the US to enjoy his retirement years in their countryside estate. However, after facing multiple health issues in the years leading up to his death, including a fall in February 2019, Ozzy sadly passed away only 17 days after the concert.

Days after his death, Ozzy’s family joined fans in paying an emotional farewell to the heavy metal star during a procession in Birmingham that saw the hearse carrying his coffin pass the star’s childhood home in Lodge Road, Aston.

Sharon was last spotted at the public memorial, with heartbreaking images showing her crying and weeping as she took in fan tributes. She has since taken a step back from the public eye to mourn in private, but her children – including son Jack – have spoken out about her heartbreaking grief.

During an interview on Good Morning America, Jack was asked about how his mum Sharon – who was wed to Ozzy for 40 years – is coping, reports the Mirror.

“You know, when people have been asking me that question, I say, ‘She’s OK, but she’s not OK’,” Jack confessed.

When asked if she can “feel the affection and appreciation,” from fans, Jack responded: “Oh my god, yeah. I know she feels the love. None of us expected it to be like this, with that outpour of love.”

He added: “Every child sits there and kind of has this thought about one day that parents won’t be there, and what will that be like. It’s just a part of being human. We just didn’t think of it. It was a different weight to it, you know?”

In a video shared weeks following Ozzy’s funeral, Sharon confessed she was still “finding her footing.”

Seen alongside daughter Kelly in the video, Sharon wrote: “I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media. Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know.

“None of it has gone unnoticed, in fact, it’s carried me through many nights. Though I’m still finding my footing.”

The BBC has since released a documentary titled Sharon And Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, which follows the final three years of Ozzy’s life as he and Sharon plan a return to the UK.

Another documentary, Ozzy: No Escape From Now, premieres on Paramount+ on Tuesday and follows the music star in the final years of his life, with clips from the farewell concert and his funeral.
