Shane Filan's son Patrick knows how to keep a secret according to his famous dad. Chatting to Patrick Kielty on the Late Late Show, the Westlife star hilariously recounted how his family had known for months that Westlife were going back on tour to mark their 25th anniversary and releasing a new album. Shane had sworn them to secrecy ahead of the big reveal, and as it turns out, not even Patrick's teacher could get the news out of the young lad once rumours of a big announcement started doing the rounds. 'That was very funny... obviously I told the kids, "we can't tell anyone, it has to go live on socials on that day, don't tell anybody", and they've known this for a long time, they've known this for months, we've had the dates held for a long time, but he went into school and he got called back after class,' Shane recalled. Poor Patrick thought he was in trouble and was racking his brain trying to figure out what he had done wrong, but as it turns out, his teacher was just looking for the inside scoop. Shane explained: 'The teacher said to him, "Patrick, can you stay back after class, please?" and Patrick was like, "What did I do ?" '[When] everyone left the class, she [the teacher] went, "What's the big news tomorrow?" and Patrick says, "You'll have to wait until tomorrow."' It wasn't all plain sailing for Shane and the guys on Friday's show as they suffered a gaffe while performing their new song Chariot. Their bandmate Mark had recorded the single with them, but has stepped back from touring because of ill health, meaning Shane had to step in to sing his part live, except he forgot the words! Instead, he made up some new ones on the spot, only to be outed by host Patrick 'So it was the world premiere of Chariot, but the second verse, I actually sang the wrong line. I actually made up a line tonight. 'I'm going to blame Mark, because it's Mark's verse, but yeah. So I'm reading through it and I'm going, "What's the line?" and then it didn't come to me at all. 'Sometimes you've just got to improvise and I knew it was coming but it was fun!
