Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri will be soon seen in an action drama, O Romeo. Vishal Bhardwaj, who is directing the film, has pulled off yet another cinematic feat. Reportedly, for the grand climax of his upcoming romantic thriller, he has recreated Spain inside a Mumbai studio. Times Now has quoted a source saying, “They wrapped the close-up shots [of the] duel. The primary shots were done in Spain. Vishal sir wanted the finale to feel explosive, so the team recreated a realistic environment inside the studio, giving him total control over lighting and stunts. Both actors rehearsed it for a few days to get the rhythm right. Apparently, Bhardwaj wanted to shoot this final piece discreetly in Mumbai. Only the core crew and action unit were on set.” Title Announcement In September, Vishal Bhardwaj announced that the Shahid Kapoor starrer has been titled O Romeo. While taking to his social media, Vishal shared a poster of the film which featured Shahid with his face covered with a grand hat and his hands, and the poster featured the title of the film O Romeo. While sharing the poster, Bhardwaj wrote, “Aa raha hai… #ORomeo.. this Valentine’s Day.” When Vishal Bhardwaj gave a fact check on the film’s title Earlier in July, a leading entertainment news portal claimed that the movie had been named Romeo, to which the director himself reacted and shrugged off the report. Vishal Bhardwaj took to his social media and shared the report on his Instagram story, calling it “Fake.” He went on to pen a note in the comment section of the post and wrote, “No, it is not titled Romeo and I deny it here!!! With major competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and Prabhas’s much-anticipated film Raja Saab eyeing a December release, there had been multiple reports claiming that the makers of the Shahid Kapoor starrer, now titled O Romeo, had no plans of shifting its release. But now, Vishal Bhardwaj has announced that the film will not hit theatres in December 2025; it will now release on Valentine’s Day 2026. Earlier, Times Now quoted a Bollywood Hungama report, which mentioned that there is no change in the release date of Shahid Kapoor’s next. The portal reported a source close to the development as saying, “It was the makers of Shahid Kapoor’s next that took the December 5 slot first. The filming is going on at a steady pace and the film has shaped up well. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is confident of the product and doesn’t feel the need to move from the date that he was the first one to reserve.”
