ShackStream: Mario Kart World on The Stevetendo Show! Episode 629

Tonight, on The Stevetendo Show, we’re jumping back into more Mario Kart World. I have gone back and forth with keeping Mario Kart Monday a constant thing on The Stevetendo Show. I wasn’t having a good time with Mario Kart World, but after getting some advice on what vehicle to use, the game got back on my good side. There have also been updates to the game that have made playing it better, such as being able to play courses in their three-lap form instead of their Intermission mode.

For those who don’t know, Intermission tracks have you drive from one location to another, and the three-lap tracks are three laps on the same track, like classic Mario Kart races. The newest update to Mario Kart World has updated some of the quality-of-life aspects of the game. The biggest update, in my opinion, is allowing you to play Knockout Tour with friends. Knockout Tour is my favorite mode in the game, and being able to play with friends is big for me. Nintendo also made the UFO easier to find, and you can use that to unlock characters by alien abduction. I unlocked Bone Fish this way, and having a different way to unlock drivers other than the Kamek Orb is great. Set to go live at 6 p.m. PDT/9 p.m. EDT, join The Stevetendo Show for more Mario Kart Monday!

Shackers who want to join in on the fun can head over to the Shacknews Twitch channel, where you can tune into The Stevetendo Show every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

If you can’t make tonight’s show, you can watch Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 5 p.m. PDT/8 p.m. EDT. Coming up on the show is more of our Donkey Kong Bananza playthrough, as well as more of The Messenger. This is my first playthrough of The Messenger, and I’m enjoying my time with the game thus far. The action is heating up and you won’t want to miss it.

Be sure to check out the Shacknews Twitch channel and the Shacknews VODs YouTube channel. Catch up on some of your favorite Shacknews programs with a subscription to the YouTube channel and a follow to the Twitch channel. If you aren’t aware, Shacknews has a new service for you called Shackmaps. The lovely Shacknews staff has gone through some of your favorite video games to keep you from getting lost.

I was so caught up in The Messenger that I didn’t get to share my thoughts about Tokyo Game Show. There were a lot of games shown off that caught my attention, so swing by The Stevetendo Show to hear my thoughts. For those of you keeping score, the Mets lost the last game of the season and missed the playoffs by one game. It’s still a sports night in The Stevetendo Show house as the Jets are playing the Dolphins.

Keep coming up with new games that you’d love to see on The Stevetendo Show. If it’s on the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch 2 Online service, it could see a starring role in an upcoming Stevetendo episode. You never know when Nintendo is going to add something to the Nintendo Switch 2 Online service, so stay tuned.
