Several WWE Names Fired Ahead of Crown Jewel 2025

Before WWE’s major premium live event in Perth, the company cut ties with several notable stars. Cory Hays of Bodyslam and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful have confirmed that a slew of WWE talent have been cut mere hours before “Crown Jewel” in Perth. The top wrestling promotion made some moves ahead of its second ESPN special.
Perhaps the biggest name on the cut list is Wes Lee, who once performed as Dezmond Xavier under the TNA Wrestling banner. Lee may have also been the most surprising name on the list, given he’s a former NXT North American Champion and formed a faction with Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont, known as The High Ryze.
Another big name on WWE’s latest cut list is Stevie Turner. She had been a part of the “NXT UK” brand before WWE decided to fold the project. Turner moved on to the main “NXT” roster. Turner served as an authority figure, clashing with Robert Stone as the co-assistant general manager of “NXT” under Ava.

More WWE Talent Cut
Lance Anoa’i, the cousin of top WWE superstar Roman Reigns, is also accepting bookings after being let go by WWE. Jin Tala and Drako Knox have also been given their walking papers. In addition, Haze Jameson, Summer Sorrell, Brayden “BJ” Ray, and Jamar Hampton are no longer with the company.
Many of the released talent have already posted their booking emails on social media. Some fans are speculating that Lee could return to TNA Wrestling. Lee has a history with The Rascalz, but he betrayed the group as part of a storyline on “NXT” and “TNA iMPACT.” If he returns to the company, he might have to explain his actions in kayfabe if he attempts to rejoin the faction, which now features Myron Reed.
