Apple is set to unveil the much-anticipated iPhone 17 series at its “Awe Dropping” event today, September 9, 2025.

As is tradition, the Apple Store has already gone offline ahead of the launch, signalling that new products are on the way.

The event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple’s Cupertino campus in the United States.

The lineup is expected to include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

1. Apple’s thinnest phone ever

2. iPhone 17 Air joins the lineup

A brand-new model, the iPhone 17 Air, is rumoured to bridge the gap between the standard and Pro versions, offering high-end features at a slightly lower price point. This marks the first addition of a new iPhone category in years.

3. Major camera upgrades

The Pro models are tipped to feature a 48MP ultra-wide sensor and improved telephoto capabilities.

These upgrades aim to strengthen Apple’s edge in photography and videography over its competitors.

4. Bigger and brighter displays

Leaks suggest brighter OLED panels and slightly larger screen sizes for the Pro Max, promising sharper visuals and a smoother experience for gaming, streaming, and productivity.

5. Stronger battery life

Apple is said to be introducing stacked battery technology in the iPhone 17 series, which could deliver longer battery endurance without adding weight or thickness.
