The Late Night host wasn’t having it with the president’s “ranting and raving” about him. Trump — in an unhinged Truth Social post over the weekend — claimed that Meyers “endlessly” discussed electric catapults (or part of a carrier used to help aircraft achieve faster takeoff speeds) during his Thursday monologue before calling the host “100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!” Meyers addressed Trump’s “ranting and raving” about him: “You can say I’m untalented, you can say I’m deranged. But I’m not the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers! Meyers proceeded to challenge the president to ask his friends if he’s the “talk about catapult” guy. “Oh, friends are, how would I describe this to you? OK, so they’re like — they’re like people who enjoy spending time with you, independent of financial and legal favors you can grant them,” Meyers joked. He later continued, “So you can say whatever you want about me, that is your First Amendment right, which I have, too, right? We all have it. Right?
