Senior Management Course officers visit CPO

Officers of the 38th Senior Management Course visited the Central Police Office. The delegation from the National Institute of Public Administration Islamabad comprised 16 officers belonging to various government service groups. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with the members of the delegation. On this occasion, Additional IG Training Punjab Tariq Rustam Chohan, DIG Training Rao Munir Zia, and AIG Operations Zahid Nawaz Marwat were also present.

According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, the delegation was briefed about the challenges faced by Punjab Police, its working, and strategic policies. They were given detailed briefings on law and order, crime control, operations, investigation, traffic management, and public service delivery.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that Punjab Police is committed to prompt registration of cases, specialized investigation, and technology-based training. He further said that significant improvements have been made in services through infrastructure development, crime record and human resource management systems, and IT reforms. Dr. Usman Anwar added that Police Khidmat Marakaz, Tahaffuz and Meesaq Centers are unique public service projects across Pakistan. IG Punjab said that the CCD, through effective coordination with limited resources, is delivering remarkable results. He further mentioned that welfare initiatives for the force and their families in the fields of healthcare, higher education, and other facilities have multiplied, while the process of promotions has been fast-tracked on the basis of performance, seniority, competence, and merit.

IG Punjab also responded to various questions from the delegation regarding police working, infrastructure development, and professional challenges. According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, the delegation was also taken on a tour of various offices of the CPO, including the Police Museum. In the end, souvenirs were exchanged between the IG Punjab and the delegation.
