Selling Sunset's Nicole says she suffered 'painful' injury before being asked to leave office

Warning: Contains spoilers for season 9 of Selling Sunset * A star from Netflix's popular reality programme Selling Sunset has revealed they temporarily lost their vision in a 'terrifying' health scare. The estate agents at The Oppenheim Group are back for another dramatic season filled with extravagant property listings and intense drama as they juggle love, betrayal and loyalty within and beyond the office. Now in its ninth season, The O Group welcomes fresh faces alongside new conflicts, and as tensions rise in both their personal and professional spheres, some may struggle to maintain their position at the firm. With the Los Angeles property market rapidly evolving, everyone must adjust to changing circumstances. Launched today (29th October), viewers can watch ten brand new episodes, and it doesn't take long for tempers to flare. In a particularly intense episode, one cast member disclosed a serious medical condition before clashing with a fellow colleague, reports the Mirror . During a celebration they dubbed Girlsgiving, the group participated in an activity where they wrote on cards what they were grateful for at Thanksgiving. Several mentioned things like friends and family. Yet there was astonishment when it emerged someone had written 'my eyesight'. Nicole Young confirms it was her card and elaborates: "I had an eye injury a couple weeks ago where I was literally blind for 24 hours, and it was not only so painful, but it was so terrifying. I couldn't see anything. " She went on to say: "And it was after that I was like, I'll never take my eyesight for granted ever again." Chrishell Stause, who read out the card, doesn't pause to offer much sympathy, instead others decide to address the escalating tension. After allegations of drug use are repeated, Nicole retorts to Nicole: "Honey, you're confusing me with your parents." Chrishell's parents battled with drug addiction during their lives and tragically died one year apart from lung cancer in 2019 and 2020. According to Netflix's Tudum website, following the dinner, Jason and Brett asked Nicole to leave the Oppenheim office. However, she has since clarified that it technically does not mean she was sacked. That is because the estate agents are all independent contractors who don't clock in every day from nine-to-five. She told the site: "That storyline was frustrating for me, because the truth of the matter is I was never fired from the office or The Oppenheim group. Not coming into the office and continuing to work and do business, that wasn't a huge deal." Nicole confesses she has no plans to apologise to Chrishell. She says: "I'm content with where I'm at. I said my piece." As far as her relationships with the rest of the cast, she remains friends with Mary. However, her relationship with Amanza is 'permanently in the past' after Amanza claimed she and Nicole had done cocaine together. She's now gearing up to put her Los Angeles home on the market and relocate to Nashville, to be nearer to her husband's family. Despite the move, she intends to carry on with her career in real estate. Selling Sunset is streaming on Netflix.
