Selena Gomez, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton and Teddy Swims are among a huge collection of stars tapped for the soundtrack for season 2 of Nobody Wants This, The Hollywood Reporter can exclusively reveal.
Also on the 19-track soundtrack — made up entirely of new recordings running the gamut from pop to country — are Finneas, Royal Otis, Alessia Cara, Role Model, Ella Langley, Portugal. The Man and Giveon, among others. Giveon’s “Dancing in the Smoke,” Dermot Kennedy’s “Melodies” and Cassandra Coleman’s “Bite My Tongue” had already been released before Wednesday’s official soundtrack reveal.

The show shared a teaser of Swims’ “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming” in a soundtrack reveal video posted Wednesday morning. Finneas’ “Palomino” and Towa Bird’s “Your Girl” will both release this Friday.
Simon Tikhman, co-founder and CEO of music company The Core Entertainment — whose clients include Bailey Zimmerman, Cameron Whitcomb and Nickelback — assembled the soundtrack alongside Interscope Records. The album will be released through The Core Records and Interscope. (Tikhman is also Nobody Wants This creator Erin Foster’s husband, and the show is loosely based on Foster’s own life.)
“The fact that we were able to put together a one-of-a-kind soundtrack with incredible artists speaks to the success of the first season,” Tikhman said in a statement. “I wanted the music to reflect the same mix of honesty, sharpness, and heart that Erin brings to the story, while also creating a soundtrack that can stand on its own. I’m deeply invested in this project — and, of course, in its creator — which made getting the music right all the more meaningful.”

The soundtrack announcement comes just over two weeks before Nobody Wants This season two is set to drop on Netflix Oct. 23. Netflix dropped a trailer for the show’s upcoming season back in September. Nobody Wants This quickly became a hit last year, earning three Emmy nominations, including for outstanding comedy series. The first season featured needle drops including Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Obsessed” and “Brutal” and Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain.”
“Based on the success and acclaim of the first season, this was a really fun soundtrack to put together,” Interscope Records president of A&R Sam Riback said. “So many artists were drawn to the uniquely captivating love story and the role of music in this series. We could not be more proud of the pool of artists we’ve assembled who helped create the musical backdrop for season two.”
