TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie might’ve already won Halloween. On Oct. 29, Savannah paid homage to the viral “67” trend by dressing up as the numbers for Halloween. On Instagram, she shared a cute video of herself moving her hands up and down while she wore a paper cutout of the numbers “67” over her neck. In the post, she played Skrilla’s viral song, “Doot Doot,” which birthed the meme. When the song was released earlier this year, it was used as a nod to NBA player LaMelo Ball, who is 6 feet, 7 inches tall. Once those videos went viral, social media users started to say “67” in their videos to reference anything at all. “There’s literally no circumstance where a kid might not say, ‘six seven,’” teacher and education content creator Mr. Lindsay said on TODAY. The educator noted that the term “67” has become so popular that it’s also being “overused” a lot. Online, people praised Savannah for her Halloween costume. “Savannah-that’s totally perfect! I think I need to run out and make one of those!!! 6️⃣7️⃣,” one person commented on her video. Another said, “😂😂 Bravo 👏.” A third added, “Yasssss!! Perfect last min. idea, too. I might have to copy!” Due to the popularity of “67,” many people are planning to dress up as the number for Halloween. Etsy already has a number of “67” shirts to choose from and there are also a few BFF “67” costumes as well. In 2024, Savannah dressed up as Elle Woods from “Legally Blonde” for TODAY’s Halloween extravaganza. She donned an all-pink outfit that was very reminiscent of Reese Witherspoon’s character in the film.
