A section of one of Greensboro’s most-traveled roads is closed this morning due to a waterline break.
People who drive West Friendly Avenue between Starmount Drive and Westminster Drive will find the westbound lanes closed today.
Approximately 25 customers in the 4100 block of West Friendly Avenue are without water, according to a news release from the city.

City officials said the road is expected to be closed until midnight.
Greensboro officials urged motorists to choose an alternate route.
If you notice discoloration or cloudy water coming from your tap after the repairs, run cold water for a few minutes through a faucet without an aerator, such as an outside spigot or bathtub, until clear, the release said.
For water and sewer emergencies, including main breaks and sewer stoppages, or changes in taste, odor, or color of drinking water, call Water Resources 24-hour Dispatch at 336-373-2033, the release said.
