Second teenager arrested after two people stabbed at bus station

A teenage boy has been arrested after two people were stabbed at a bus station. Emergency services attended Wigan Interchange at around 5.20pm on Wednesday evening (September 10). A 42-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy were rushed to hospital after being stabbed at the scene in an ‘isolated incident’. Greater Manchester Police says they both remain in hospital this morning (Thursday), where their injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening. He is in police custody for questioning this morning. The boy is the second teenager to be arrested in connection with the incident, after a girl was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has since been interviewed by officers and released on bail, according to GMP. The force says several police scenes remain in place this morning while the investigation continues. Superintendent Danny O’Neil said: “Whilst we have made arrest in connection with this incident, officers are still exploring several lines of enquiry. “This was an isolated incident with no wider risk to the community.
