Seahawks Star Hit with NFL Punishment for Inappropriate Actions

The Seattle Seahawks are urging after their victory over the Arizona Cardinals on the road on Thursday.
The win improved them to 3-1, right behind the 3-0 San Francisco 49ers near the top of the NFC West.
Very few analysts thought Seattle would be off to such hot start, but head coach Mike Macdonald, quarterback Sam Darnold and the crew are proving them wrong.
However, one Seahawks player is in some hot water with the NFL following his actions during the team’s Week 3 game over the New Orleans Saints.
Each week, the NFL announces punishments for players who violate the league’s rules during games.
The funds raised from the fines go to a good cause with all funds going to the Professional Athletes Foundation to support Legends in need and the NFL Foundation to “further support the health, safety and wellness of athletes across all levels, including youth football and the communities that support the game,” according to the NFL.
On Saturday, the NFL announced that the league is fining Seattle Seahawks star Leonard Williams for his actions during Seattle’s Week 3 showdown.
During the second quarter of the 44-13 win, Williams got into a tiff with Saints guard Torricelli Simpkins III after the latter pushed him in the back. Williams fought back by using his head, and he eventually drew two unnecessary roughness penalties.
Williams was fined a total of $23,186 for two “unnecessary roughness” violations for “use of the helmet.”
Bryan Bresee of the New Orleans Saints was fined $18,581 for “unnecessary roughness” violations for “use of the helmet.” His penalty was for head-butting Grey Zabel during the opening drive of the game.
