Scottie Scheffler Edges Out Ryder Cup Teammate Ben Griffin to Claim 6th Win of the Year Following Triumph at Procore Championship

Scottie Scheffler reigned supreme yet again on Sunday. The World No.1 came from behind and edged out his Ryder Cup teammate Ben Griffin to win the Procore Championship and claim his 6th victory of the year.

Following the conclusion of the 2025 PGA Tour season, Scheffler and several of his Ryder Cup teammates participated in the Procore Championship to warm up for the Ryder Cup. The event in Napa, California, turned out to be another tale of Scheffler’s dominant run.

The 4-time major champion did not have the best of starts to the tournament. He carded an opening round score of 70. Griffin, meanwhile, had shot 64 on Thursday and found himself in command. As Griffin shot 66 and 70 in rounds 2 and 3, respectively, Scheffler started to climb the leaderboard with scores of 68 and 64 on Friday and Saturday.

He started the final round 2 shots behind Griffin. After 3 birdies in the first 3 holes, Griffin made a bogey on Hole 4. He then shot 5 straight pars to end the front nine with a score of 33. On the back nine, he made his 2nd bogey on the 14th hole but bounced back with a birdie on the next hole.

Scheffler, on the other hand, made 4 birdies through the first 10 holes. After a bogey on Hole 11, the World No.1 fired birdies on Hole 12 and Hole 16. He eventually wrapped up the round with a score of 5-under 67.

On the final hole, Griffin needed a birdie to force a playoff round. Unfortunately, the 2-time PGA Tour winner would miss a close putt, which saw him make par on the final hole and hand the title to Scheffler.
