Scarlett Moffatt has unveiled a dramatic transformation, telling her followers that she’s bid farewell to her size 18 wardrobe following years of weight yo-yoing and struggles with body confidence. The ex- Gogglebox favourite, 31, made an appearance on Big Brother : Late and Live on Sunday, where her trimmed-down figure caught viewers’ attention and sparked a flood of praise from her legion of social media supporters. Donning a dark green feather-embellished co-ord paired with a matching mini skirt, Scarlett exuded confidence as she showcased her fresh appearance and weight loss . She subsequently shared the ensemble on Instagram, penning: “Always been a huge fan of Big Brother, in fact my guilty pleasure will forever be a chicken kebab and watching reality TV! So glad I got to do a major tick off my bucket list and be at a launch night at @bbuk.” Her public outing follows her candid discussions about years of extreme dieting and damaging practices. Scarlett had previously confessed to restricting herself to just 700 calories daily and attending a Swiss bootcamp demanding six hours of daily workouts, reports the Mirror . The punishing routine came after her 2016 fitness DVD release, which chronicled her remarkable three-stone weight drop, though she later revealed the ordeal left her feeling wretched despite her reduced size and marginally improved self-assurance. Scarlett has been candid about her journey towards self-love, ditching harmful habits for self-acceptance. In a recent chat with The Sun, she shared: “The thing with being body positive and having body confidence is just celebrating everybody’s body. As long as you are healthy, being yourself and you’re being nice to people, you do you.” She also touched on the damaging effects of negative self-talk and how she now tackles it differently. “Would you ever say horrible things to a six-year-old? Of course not. So don’t say it to yourself either,” she advised. The popular reality TV personality expressed regret over years lost to insecurities but now hopes to use her platform to challenge unrealistic beauty norms. She’s glad that today’s youth see a wider range of body types on television and believes this diversity is crucial for boosting teenage self-esteem. Since first appearing on Gogglebox in 2014, Scarlett’s career has skyrocketed, including bagging the crown on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in 2016. Beyond light entertainment, she’s ventured into documentary filmmaking. Her upcoming project, Britain’s Tourette’s Mystery: Scarlett Moffatt Investigates, is set to air on Channel 4 later this year. Scarlett, who’s previously spoken about how motherhood shifted her perspective, says she now prioritises balance over extremes. She now champions herself as a beacon of body positivity, expressing her hope that her journey will inspire others to value health and compassion over unattainable ideals.
