Ananya Panday has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of veteran actor Satish Shah, whose passing has left the film fraternity in mourning. The actor is best known for his performances in classics like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, and Main Hoon Na. Many celebrities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed his condolence. Taking to her Instagram stories, Ananya Panday shared Chunky Panday’s post and dropped ‘broken heart’ emoji. Chunky Panday shared an old photo with Satish Shah and wrote, “From Being a Fan of Satish Shah since Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi to becoming his co star in Teesra Kaun and many more. Every moment spent with him was entertaining to another Level. He will be remembered as a true legend of Indian entertainment (sic).” Offering his condolences to the family of the deceased, PM added, “His effortless humour and iconic performances brought laughter into countless lives. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti. (sic)”. Many well-known names from Bollywood, such as Kajol, R Madhavan, Karan Johar, Anupam Kher, and others, used social media to pay their tribute to the late actor. Over a career of more than forty years, Satish Shah became a household name in Indian cinema and television through his memorable roles. He made his acting debut with Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan (1978) and went on to feature in more than 250 films over his illustrious career. He achieved cult status with his iconic performance in the 1983 film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. He played the role of Municipal Commissioner D’Mello in the film directed by Kundan Shah. Satish Shah also starred in films such as Shakti, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Fanaa, Om Shanti Om and others. Satish Shah’s Death Satish Shah passed away due to kidney failure. His health suddenly deteriorated at home, and he was rushed to Hinduja Hospital, where he passed away. As per a report in India Today, Satish Shah had been battling kidney-related complications and had recently undergone a transplant. His manager told the news portal that the body remains at the hospital, and the funeral will take place on Sunday.
