Veteran actor Satish Shah passed away on October 25, and the news of his death shocked everyone. Satish Shah lived with his wife, Madhu Shah, and his love story with her is nothing short of an example of what true love looks like. The two first met at the SIFTA Film Festival, where Satish fell in love soon after seeing her for the very first time. But winning her over wasn’t that easy for Satish. When Satish first proposed to Madhu, she rejected his proposal, but he was determined. He proposed again on the sets of Saath Saath, starring Farooque Shaikh and Deepti Naval, but Madhu rejected him once more. Satish, even after being rejected twice, just knew she was the one. He proposed to Madhu yet again, and this time she couldn’t say no. Madhu asked him to approach her parents. After he managed to win their approval with his sincerity, the couple got engaged and tied the knot eight months later, in 1982. Satish and Madhu came from two different worlds. While Satish was an actor, Madhu was a fashion designer who liked to stay away from the limelight, and together they built their own world. But their story wasn’t that easy. While everything was going well, they got to know that Madhu had Alzheimer’s. Satish, too, was battling his own health-related issues, but he didn’t want to give up. Sachin Pilgaonkar, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, revealed that Satish had undergone a kidney transplant. He wanted to extend his life so that he could take care of Madhu. He was on dialysis. Earlier, he had undergone a bypass surgery, which was successful. Now, three months after his surgery, Satish Shah died of a heart attack. While earlier reports claimed that he passed away due to kidney-related issues, his Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-star Rajesh Kumar clarified that he passed away because of a heart attack. Their marriage lasted over five decades — a rare and enduring bond in the entertainment industry. The couple chose not to have children, finding fulfilment in their companionship and shared life together.
