The fifth meeting of the Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna Authority was held in the committee room of the Vidhana Soudha under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The following decisions were made during the meeting, according to a press release. Mr. Siddaramaiah approved the recommendation of a grant for ₹28 crore for the development of the authority this year. The Chief Minister instructed officials to make the Rayanna Sainik School built in Sangolli of Bailhongal taluk, Belagavi district, into a model Sainik School in the country. After inspecting the quality of the construction work, it should be taken over. Steps should be taken for quality education in the Sainik School. All necessary infrastructure, including sports facilities, should be provided. The construction work on the Sangolli Rayanna Museum (Veer Bhoomi) is in the final stages and steps should be taken to dedicate it to the public as soon as possible. He asked officials to look for historical documents and record the names of seven soldiers of Rani Channamma who were hanged by the East India Company along with Sangolli Rayanna. Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi, Chairman of the Guarantee Schemes Implementation Authority H.M.
