Sandwell care provider celebrates double award shortlisting for business excellence and outstanding care
Just over a year since opening its doors, the Sandwell-based home care provider has been named a Finalist for Start-Up Business of the Year at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce 2025 Business Awards. The team has also been shortlisted in the Top 3 for the Excellence in Care Award at the West Midlands Care Association Awards placing the business firmly among the region’s leading care providers.
Managing Director Chris Taylor says the nominations reflect the passion, dedication, and hard work of the entire team: “We launched Bridgewater Home Care Sandwell with a simple mission to provide the kind of care we would want for our own loved ones. To be recognised not just for the quality of our care, but also for the strength of our business growth, is incredibly humbling. It’s a real credit to our amazing care team and the clients who place their trust in us every day.”
Over the past year, Bridgewater Home Care Sandwell has rapidly grown its client base and expanded its team, all while staying true to its ethos of compassionate, person-centred care. The company has also made a significant impact in the wider community breathing new life into the Royal Naval Association Club into a vibrant drop-in hub for veterans and ex-service personnel, creating a welcoming space for connection, conversation, and wellbeing, which is having an open day on Friday, October 17, from 12 noon onwards.
This community-first approach has become a cornerstone of the company’s identity, earning praise from local leaders and forging strong partnerships with voluntary groups, health professionals, and families across the borough.
The upcoming awards ceremonies promise to be a proud moment for the Sandwell team. The Black Country Chamber of Commerce Business Awards will take place later this autumn, while the West Midlands Care Association’s Excellence in Care Awards are due to be held in the coming weeks.
Chris added: “Win or lose, being recognised at this level so early in our journey is something we’re incredibly proud of. It shows that the values we built this business on compassion, integrity, and community really do make a difference.”
