Samsung undercut by one retailer offering £580 tech bundle with Galaxy S25 Edge deal

Shoppers picking up Samsung’s new Galaxy S25 Edge can get their hands on a free tech bundle worth almost £580. The deal is available with Currys-backed retailer Mobiles.co.uk , which is throwing in a free set of Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro worth £179 with its 24-month contracts. Anyone taking advantage of this deal can then head to the Samsung website and claim a free Galaxy Chromebook Go 14” laptop worth £399 – a total of £578 in freebies. The phone comes on iD Mobile’s 100GB tariff at £29.99 per month and £99 upfront. Over the life of the contract, the total ownership cost comes to £851.76, cheaper than buying the phone outright from Samsung or Amazon for £899. It also includes unlimited calls and texts, plus roaming in 50 destinations. The deal is a more affordable option compared to rivals such as Sky Mobile , which offers the S25 Edge for £39 per month and £12 upfront. However, while also available with the free Chromebook Go, this mobile plan only comes with a 100MB data allowance. One key thing to remember is that iD Mobile will increase its prices each year as inflation rises, with the £29.99 plan rising to £31.49 from April 2026 and £32.99 from April 2027. While Mobiles.co.uk has not confirmed an end date for its free Galaxy Buds deal, shoppers must claim their free Chromebook Go within 30 days of purchase. The retailer also offers several other giveaways for Android fans, including a free Samsung Galaxy Watch7 with the Galaxy S25 . This option is available on iD Mobile’s 100GB tariff for £23.99 per month, plus £29 upfront cost. Google fans may prefer bagging free Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 and a Pixel Watch 3 with the new Google Pixel 10 , on iD Mobile’s 100GB at £34.99 per month, plus £59 upfront. But for those sticking with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge , this super-sleek smartphone is the slimmest device in the brand’s S Series, measuring just 5.8mm thick. It first hit the shelves in May, with Samsung promoting it as offering ‘a new balance of premium, pro-level performance in a resilient titanium body’. It boasts a QHD 6.7” display, 200MP camera and Samsung’s ‘most powerful’ Snapdragon 8 processor, with Galaxy AI integrated across a range of apps. Ahead of the phone’s launch, the Daily Express Deputy Technology Editor Henry Burrell tested it for himself and branded it an ‘impressively slender piece of kit’. He said: “The S25 Edge is impressively thin and certainly awoke my inner nerd. Millimetre differences don’t sound like much on paper, but they make a huge difference to how this phone feels to hold. But what struck me more was how light the S25 Edge is. “It weighs 163g, just one gram more than the S25, and less than the 190g S25 Plus and 218g S25 Ultra. Combined with its weight, The S25 Edge’s dimensions make it feel truly feather-light.” However, Henry did note a potential flaw, adding: “With a large 6.7-inch display, the S25 Edge is a little hard to hold in one hand. Though it’s amazing Samsung has crammed all the componentry into the shrunken body, one thing it can’t slim down is the cameras. The dual rear lenses poke out the top right corner of the phone, causing it to tip the device a little unless you’re holding on with two paws.”
