The Galaxy Watch platform of smartwatches is getting guided workouts thanks to Samsung’s new partnership with iFIT, the company confirms. The announcement about the iFIT partnership was officially made on November 11. You’d think that users would have to wait for some of these new fitness experiences to show up on their devices. However, Samsung says these experiences are already available via the Samsung Health app. So, you can pull up an experience like the guided workouts on your phone and check them out before tracking data using the watch. There is one pretty significant caveat, however. There’s a cost to access the guided workouts. Samsung’s partnership with iFIT comes with guided workouts, but it also comes with a monthly fee While Samsung Health is free to use, just like with the Fitbit app, there is a more premium version that comes with a monthly cost and extra features. In Samsung’s Health case, you’ll need to pay the monthly fee if you want to access these guided workouts from iFIT. The subscription fee for Samsung Health’s extras is $9.99 a month, so it’s not terrible. It’s also a great value and likely very worth it if you are pretty into fitness and you use Samsung Health a lot. There’s also an annual subscription of $99.99 if you prefer, and this not only means you won’t have to make the payment as often, but it also saves you a little bit of money in the long run.
