Mixed Reactions From Social Media Users
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Marriage can only be between a male and a female. The word MARRIAGE is exclusively for a binding relationship between two separate genders. This stupidity has never happened in the past thousands of years. I call it good friendship or whatever, but it’s definitely not marriage.”
Another shared, “What’s wrong with this? They are simply following Hindu traditions to get married. If you oppose them, then they will follow the traditions of other religions. Is this what you want?”
“Disgusting. Keep marriage sacred, not a rainbow remix,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “This is just people living their lives.”
Another person mentioned, “There is no marriage between the same gender. It’s only a drama or hype created to show off or impact the youth’s minds. Generally, a brainwashed person does such an act.”
One more jokingly asked, “BTW, who files a Fake dowry case on whom and takes alimony if divorce?”

However, the hopes of many LGBTQ+ couples were crushed when the Supreme Court rejected the petition. The court agreed to form a panel that will grant more legal rights and benefits to such couples.
