On October 30, 2025, Mr. Xiao Qiang, General Manager of SAIC-GM-Wuling Overseas Division, and Mr. Sun Dazhi, Deputy General Manager, together with Mr. Zheng Shunwen, Senior Vice President of WOWNOW App, and Mr. Li Jinhe, Business Director, joined Mr. Cao Hao, CEO of FD Auto Cambodia, and Ms. Guo Songmei, representative of CCU Bank, at the SAIC-GM-Wuling headquarters in Liuzhou, China, to officially sign a strategic cooperation agreement for the development of Cambodia’s new energy vehicle (NEV) operations. As part of this collaboration, a purchase agreement for 500 units of the Wuling Bingo S was also signed, which will be deployed in WOWNOW’s ride-hailing operations in the Cambodian market. Through this signing, the four parties officially reached a strategic partnership, jointly signing a Cooperation Agreement on the Development of Cambodia’s New Energy Vehicle Operations and completing an order for the first batch of 500 Wuling new energy vehicles. These vehicles will be used by WOWNOW in its ride-hailing operations in Cambodia, injecting green, intelligent, and sustainable power into the country’s mobility sector. Exploring the Strength of Chinese Smart Manufacturing Prior to the signing ceremony, the WOWNOW executive team was invited to visit the SAIC-GM-Wuling AutomobileIntelligent Manufacturing Base in Liuzhou, where they gained first-hand insights into Wuling’s comprehensive production line for new energy vehicles, including battery manufacturing and testing processes, vehicle inspection systems, and the company’s achievements in smart and green manufacturing. It is worth noting that the model signed in this cooperation the Wuling Bingo S is produced at this very smart manufacturing island. Recognized as one of the world’s leading intelligent factories, the Liuzhou plant is known for its high level of automation, digital management, and intelligent quality control. Every stage of production from stamping, welding, and painting to final assembly adheres to the most rigorous standards to ensure product quality and safety. The WOWNOW delegation highly praised Wuling’s technological strength and manufacturing excellence in the new energy vehicle sector and expressed strong interest in bringing more Wuling models to the Cambodian market in the future. Building a New Green Mobility Ecosystem in Cambodia This signing marks a significant milestone for SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile , FD Auto, WOWNOW, and CCU Bank in advancing Cambodia’s new energy vehicle ecosystem. Moving forward, the four parties will cooperate across multiple dimensions including vehicle introduction, financial services, regional warranty and safety management for electric powertrain and battery systems and operational optimization to establish a comprehensive, closed-loop ecosystem that integrates manufacturing, sales, finance, and mobility. Through this collaboration, WOWNOW will introduce a new fleet of Wuling new energy vehicles into Cambodia’s ride-hailing market, providing users with a more eco-friendly, intelligent, and comfortable travel experience, while supporting Cambodia’s broader transition toward sustainable and green transportation.
