Ryan Thomas joked 'help me' as he and his Coronation Street star ex shared an update on their daughter. The actor-turned-TV presenter shares his eldest child with co-star ex Tina O'Brien, who he was in a relationship with from 2003 until 2009. The pair welcomed their daughter Scarlett into the world back 2008, who fans of the BBC soap Waterloo Road will recognise as Izzy. Along with displaying a passion for musical theatre, Scarlett’s role as the daughter of Donte Charles on Waterloo Road saw her working with her real-life uncle Adam Thomas. Taking to Instagram on Sunday (October 26), Ryan shared a number of snaps of him and Scarlett from over the years as he marked her 17th birthday. “My first born is 17 today. she can drive please help me!!!!! Scarlett replied: “Love you so much dad.” Sending their well wishes in the comments section of Ryan’s wholesome post was Scarlett’s uncles Scott, who said ‘beautiful girl’, and Adam, who left three love heart emojis. Meanwhile, Tina shared several videos on her story to mark the big day, including one of Scarlett on one of her previous birthdays, where she was seen signing When The Saints Come Marching In. Shortly after this, Tina posted a ‘throwback’ video of Scarlett on stage from when she was playing Matilda in an stage adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl children’s book, which was made into a movie with Emma Thompson in 2022 Currently pursuing a music career, Scarlett boasts over 230,000 followers on TikTok, where she posts covers of famous songs. Earlier this year, Ryan defended Scarlett amid her being referred to as a 'nepo baby'. Addressing her role on Waterloo Road, he told the Sun: "She worked damn hard to get that job, and people need to recognise that she's a talented girl - she's up against other people and she's not getting a free ride."
