Manchester United could only muster a 2-2 draw with a less than impressive Tottenham Hotspur, as Matthijs de Ligt buried a wide open header at the far post to help the Red Devils avoid a shock collapse at the hands of Bryan Mbeumo’s former manager. Mbeumo, of course, scored the first, in another fine display, as Manchester United are quietly building up an undefeated streak and have a real threat of qualifying for the Champions League all of a sudden. The other forwards could have been better, but the bigger concern for Man United is the health of striker Benjamin Sesko, who is the team’s only out and out No. 9 and is thus very important to what Ruben Amorim is trying to do. Sesko came in off the bench and went down late, forcing Man United to finish with just 10 men, which was honestly a significant reason why Spurs were able to get back into the game. Amorim sounds worried about the injury, and Manchester United fans have to stay glued to the news cycle to see how long he could be out, as the international break may not cover everything. The coach said after the game, “I am concerned with Šeško has he suffered knee injury. It’s in the knee, we don’t know, we need Ben to be a better team. I have no idea. Because is the knee we never know”. Knee injuries are always tricky, especially for attacking players, so we can only hope that the Manchester United striker is going to be OK. Hopefully the worst thing this injury does is buy him some more rest at the “break”.
