RTC depot manager among six suspended for financial fraud in Annamayya district

The Rajampeta depot manager of the APSRTC, along with five other staff, was suspended on Saturday (September 20) following the completion of a probe into alleged irregularities at the corporation-run petrol pump.

The police have registered criminal cases against 29 others in connection with the siphoning of ₹68 lakh from the pump’s transactions. The pump, inaugurated on December 7 last year, was reportedly manipulated by operators, who exploited technical glitches to siphon off collections.

Regional manager of APSRTC (Annamayya district) M. Ramu, who led the investigation, confirmed the financial fraud and said further action would follow. Authorities emphasised that strict measures are being taken to ensure accountability and prevent such irregularities.
