Launched in 1982, the train is a joint initiative between the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and Indian Railways.
The video, shared on Instagram, showed a glimpse of the train’s deluxe cabins, private bathrooms, dining area and elegant décor inspired by Rajasthani heritage. Lavish woodwork, intricate motifs and plush furnishings created a royal atmosphere throughout the coaches.
Dining seemed to be a gourmet experience as the vlogger enjoyed a plate of puri, sabji and several other delicacies in the train. A lounge bar, spa and attentive staff added to the indulging experience. Daily excursions take guests to forts, palaces and wildlife parks. The journey blends luxury, culture, and heritage in seamless harmony.
The Palace On Wheels: Ticket Cost
As per the official website, The Palace on Wheels ticket, during the peak season, starts at Rs 5.6 lakh for every Indian in double occupancy. The prices rise to almost Rs 20.5 lakh in peak season when it comes to the Presidential Suite. For foreigners, the suite will cost USD 24570 (Rs 21 lakh).

Starting in New Delhi, it travels through cities like Jaipur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer and more. The Palace on Wheels offers a complete luxury experience with opulent cabins, dining areas, outstanding hospitality and service.
