The left is freaking out over the death of Charlie Kirk. Not in the way a rational person would, but instead trying to blame conservatives for his murder.
In their pursuit of twisting the facts, several conspiracy theories fueled by left-wing media have become popular. Among those is the insane notion that Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, was a right-wing extremist. A left-wing pundit, who goes by the handle Politics Girl on X, posted a video saying that, despite early reports that Robinson had been radicalized into far-left ideologies, he was, in fact, a white, Christian male. And it’s these supposed “facts” that caused him to murder Kirk.
“It now appears that the person who shot and killed right-wing political commentator Charlie Kirk was like the majority of shooters in America: a young white male from a conservative, pro-gun, religious background,” she said.
“After being told for two straight days that the left had ‘declared war on America,’ that the shooter was most likely trans, or in Congresswoman Nancy Mace’s words, ‘pro-tranny.’ After the Wall Street Journal published an article, they had to later walk back that the bullets had a pro-trans message because it turned out to be just the markings of one of the world’s biggest ammunition factories; they were wrong,” she continued, adding, “We still don’t know the motivation for the killing, but we will find out more in the coming days.”

This is the prevailing narrative for much of the left. Yes, early reports were that Robinson could possibly be yet another transgender violent killer. And for good reason. Republican Utah Gov. Spencer Cox confirmed that “Bella Chao,” the name of a song which has become a far-left battle cry, was engraved on one of the bullet casings of Kirk’s assassin.
Journalist Andy Ngo, who has been a frequent target of Antifa and far-left transgender attacks, explains the importance of the evidence left behind that links Robinson to radical, violent movements. (Sign up for Mary Rooke’s weekly newsletter here!)
“It’s hard for me to overstate the significance of the Charlie Kirk assassin suspect allegedly putting the lyrics of ‘Bella Ciao’ on a rifle cartridge. That is probably the most important rallying song to Antifa militants for decades. The 2019 Tacoma Antifa gunman cited it in his manifesto before carrying out a deadly shooting and explosives attack at an ICE facility,” Ngo said.
During a vigil for Charlie Kirk in New York City, a far-left activist was recorded singing “Bella Ciao” and allegedly threatened to kill NYU College Republican Club President Ryan Leonard, according to a post made by the organization.

Robinson was reportedly in a “romantic” relationship with a transgender-identified man, and his family, friends, and acquaintances claim that he had become radicalized by far-left ideologies, frequently espousing anti-Kirk sentiments and anti-conservative ideas at gatherings.
But the left isn’t just trying to blame Kirk’s murder on the right. They’ve blamed Kirk’s speech, often resulting in seemingly libelous and defamatory statements about Kirk after his death, with several preemptive apologies, retractions, and even firings as a result of outrage over their comments.
Additionally, the left has tried to claim that even if one of their own is responsible for Kirk’s murder, the rise in political violence is not their fault, pointing to several instances they claim are evidence of right-wing violence. (ROOKE: Did Your Pastor Say Anything About Charlie Kirk Or Iryna Zarutska On Sunday?)
A popular case is that of the killings of Democratic Wisconsin state Rep. Melissa Hortman and state Sen. John Hoffman, both shot and killed in June. Their alleged killer, Vance Boelter, reportedly voted in the 2024 Republican primary, and his roommate, David Carlson, claims that Boelter voted for President Donald Trump in 2024.
Wisconsin is an open primary state, meaning you do not have to be a registered Republican to vote in the GOP primary. A common move in open-primary states is switching parties for the primary in order to vote for an opponent that your party’s candidate would have an easier time defeating. There’s no way to tell if that is what happened in this case.
Another interesting fact the left seemingly ignores or doesn’t know is that authorities found far-left, anti-Trump posters in his car during the investigation. He was also appointed to a state board by Kamala Harris’s running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

For the governor’s mansion arson perpetrated on Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Cody Balmer had no party affiliation and held murky views critical of both parties. But Balmer’s motive against Shapiro was clear: he supported the Palestinians’ effort during the Gaza War and hated that Shapiro was Jewish and supposedly supported Israel. These are not opinions held by the majority of conservatives, but rather, they are more commonly found in stench-filled far-left protests carried out on college campuses.
The left is going to have to grapple with the reality that their demonization of conservatives in this country and the support of violence against us got a man killed. A good man who supported their right to hold views opposite to his, and simply wanted to have conversations with them in hopes it would change their minds.
Not just that, but these heinous acts on Shapiro, Hortman, and Hoffman were not celebrated in mass by conservatives. The majority of leftists did not wake up the day after the Wisconsin killings or the Shapiro arson to see their friends, family, local teachers, and health professionals excusing or championing the violence. But conservatives witnessed just that with their fellow Americans, people they considered close, as way too many celebrated Kirk’s murder and egged on similar atrocities. The left’s movement is violent, destructive, and antithetical to American ideals. They have no way to excuse this behavior, so they try their best to blame conservatives for their actions.
