Today’s Spotlight on Education took us to Woodley Hills Elementary, where fourth graders launched their creativity, and rockets, during a thrilling STEM event. Rocket Day gave students a hands-on opportunity to explore science and engineering, turning the schoolyard into a launchpad for learning. Dr. Sofie Kalid-Schieber, the school’s Technology Specialist, shared, “Every child is a rocket—full of potential. Our job is to fuel their journey with knowledge and encouragement.” Her words captured the spirit of the day, as students discovered that with the right support, their ideas can truly take flight.
