Popular Tamil film actor Robo Shankar, died on September 18 due to ill health. He was 46 when he breathed his last at a private Hospital in Chennai. Soon after his untimely demise, celebrities such as Kamal Haasan, Chief Minister MK Stalin, Karthi and Radikaa Sarathkumar, poured in condolences on their social media handles. Later, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan and Udhayanidhi visited his house to pay their respects. Robo Shankar Dies At 46: Tamil stars SIvakarthikeyan, Dhanush, TN Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Pays Last Respects Actor Dhanush, who worked with Robo Shankar in their hit film Maari, was among the first celebs to visit his family and offer condolences. The actor hugged his daughter Indraja Shankar, who seemed inconsolable. Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, visited the residence to pay his last respects to the late actor. He also expressed his grief on X, “We paid our respects by placing a garland on his body kept at his residence. Starting his journey as a stage performer, achieving success on the small screen, and entertaining Tamil audiences with his realistic humour in films, brother Robo Shankar was truly remarkable.” Vijay Sethupathi shared a photo of Robo Shankar and wrote RIP with a folded-hands emoji. Actor-director Raghava Lawrence wrote on X, “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Robo Shankar. His contribution to entertainment will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.” Earlier today, Sivakarthikeyan who has worked with Robo Shankar in films such as Mr Local, offered condolences to his family and paid his last respects. MS Bhaskar was also seen arriving at his residence to pay his last respects to the actor. Robo Shankar is survived by his wife Priyanka Shankar, daughter Indraja and son-in-law Karthik.
