Feyenoord boss Robin van Persie admits his side are up against it from the off when Celtic come to town after UEFA ordered them to close a quarter of their stadium – including the usual home to their ultras. Celtic will face the Dutch giants in the Europa League in their next European game on Thursday November 27, after they play in Denmark against FC Midtjylland this week. In the meantime the Hoops have plenty of other issues on their hands, most importantly the hunt for their next manager with Martin O'Neill manning the fort in the meantime. But, when the time comes, the Rotterdam club have been ordered to close one of their stands where their ultras and most passionate fans are based for the game after they were hammered by UEFA. Feyenoord were slapped with a fine of £76,000 for setting off fireworks in their last game against Panathinaikos and that triggered punishment for a suspended sentence from a game earlier this year against Bayern Munich. And their manager - former Manchester United and Arsenal legend Van Persie - has admitted that is a big setback for them. He said: "First and foremost, Feyenoord, especially its supporters, is known for its fantastic atmosphere around matches. "Now, the club has to pay a fine and play our next European matches against Celtic and Sturm Graz without our loudest fans, which is obviously not good for us. "I think we can work together even better on this. It would be great if we could find a balance." Feyenoord have appealed the partial stadium closure and have begged their fans to behave when they travel to Germany to play Stuttgart this week in the competition. They stated: "The club is currently exploring the possibility of appealing the sanctions we received after the match against Panathinaikos. "In that context, it would help us if we didn't give UEFA any more grounds to punish us during the match against Stuttgart, which would render any potential appeal hopeless from the outset."
