With the 2025 college football season moving forward quickly, the College Football Playoff is right around the corner. Quite a few teams are looking like potential contenders, although many believe that the Ohio State Buckeyes are the best team in the nation. Currently, Ohio State does hold the No. 1 ranking in the country. Behind the Buckeyes are the Indiana Hoosiers at No. 3, the Texas A&M Aggies at No. 3, the Alabama Crimson Tide at No. 4, and the Georgia Bulldogs at No. 5. Even behind those five programs, there are a handful of teams who look like serious contenders. At No. 1, he had Curt Cignetti and Indiana listed firmly. Rounding out the top 12 in order behind the Hoosiers is Ohio State, Texas A&M, BYU, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Oregon, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Miami, and Vanderbilt. This season in his second year, he has taken them to new heights. Of course, there are some who believe the Hoosiers still have a lot of work to do. Indiana has two big statement wins this season. One of them came at home against the then ranked No. 9 ranked Illinois Fighting Illini by a final score of 63-10. They also went on the road to beat Oregon 30-20. That would give a much more clear sign of who the better team is heading into the playoff. It will be interesting to see what the final games of the regular season have in store. Indiana looks like a true national championship favorite right now, but so does Ohio State. For now, Griffin has the Hoosiers ahead of the Buckeyes on his list.
