(CNS): Police are looking for two masked, armed men following a robbery at a business on Kennedy Drive, George Town on Friday afternoon in broad daylight at about 2pm and two attempted robberies one in the street and one at another commercial premises where the robbers fled the scenes on a motorbike. The first stick-up happened at a a business on Commercial Way, George Town when two men, one armed with a handgun came in. What police said was “the attendant on duty” managed to escape to a secure room and the suspects fled. Soon after that police were dispatched to a another robbery report at an undisclosed business on Kennedy Drive also in the capital, where the men entered the establishment robbed the occupants of a undisclosed quantity of cash. The men then left the location and made good their escape. But as they did they attempted to rob another member of the public who was walking along Kennedy Drive nearby. The men wearing face masks and high visibility construction style shirts and left on a motorcycle. There were no reports of injuries to any member of the public nor was the gun discharged at any of the scenes. The robberies are being investigated and anyone with information is being encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
