It's been brutal five days which has seen one woman killed and four injured on our roads. All five men and women were just going about their usual business when they were hit by vehicles with their lives and the lives of their loved ones irrevocably changed forever. Get the latest court and crime news direct via our WhatsApp community here In this article, we recall the incidents in which a pedestrian was killed on Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury and other victims left with head injuries The lady, who was said to be in her 60s, was walking along the Wolverhampton Road, near the Wernley Pub, when she was hit by a vehicle just after 6.30am on Wednesday (October 29). Despite the best efforts of medical staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, she died hours later. The busy road was closed off in both directions while collision investigators carried out their work. A 31-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing death by dangerous driving has been bailed. Around seven hours later, a man suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a car near City Road and Sandon Road , in Bearwood. The driver remained at the scene and was helping police with their their enquiries. The next day, a man sustained serious head injuries after he was struck by a car at the junction of Throne Road and Oldbury Road in Rowley Regis. The pedestrian, said to be in his 30s, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospita l, where thankfully his wounds were not believed to be life-changing. The driver stayed at the scene and spoke to officers. On Saturday (November 1), Kings Heath High Street was partially closed after a woman was hit by a bus around 1.50pm. She was taken to hospital with shoulder and arm injuries. At 7.30pm the same day, a man was hit by a car on Bristol Road near the junction of Sir Harry's Road. He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital Police said the driver remained at the scene. In all the cases, police have appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage.
