The following is a selection of the most significant road closures and expected traffic delays in and around the city of Kingston for the week ending October 31, 2025. A closure is expected along Aberdeen Street from William to Johnson to accommodate construction activity and staging Albert Street will be closed from Princess Street to Mack Street to accommodate construction activity and staging at 484 Albert St. Barrie Street will experience a closure from Queen St. to Colborne St. for construction-related activity at 283 Queen St. Bayridge Drive will experience delays from Milford to Henderson for the construction of new active transportation infrastructure and intersection upgrades. Find more details on the Get Involved Kingston page. Brass Point Bridge will be closed from Oct. 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day for the replacement of bridge deck planks. Motorists are asked to plan their travel accordingly and to exercise caution in the area. See our coverage of this closure here. Delays can be expected along Cataraqui Woods Drive from Centennial to Gardiners for the construction of a new Multi-Use Pathway. Earl Street will see a closure from Collingwood to Toronto for sewer separation and road rehabilitation work. Delays should be expected along Front Road from Sand Bay to Country Club for the installation of Sanitary and Water main for Utilities Kingston. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Please be aware of lane shifts, traffic, speed limits, and share the lane signage. Delays are expected along Highway 15 from Kingston Mills to Middle Road for a contractor to complete work on the Highway 15 CNR overhead structure. John Marks Avenue and Innovation Drive will experience delays while a contractor mobilizes to start work on John Marks Ave, Innovation Dr and Discovery Ave. Work includes curb, sidewalk, asphalt milling and repaving. A closure is to be expected along Kingscourt Avenue from Concession to First Avenue until November 21 for a gas main installation. Expect delays along Lancaster Drive from Limestone to Jasper while a contractor completes construction of a new sidewalk and road improvements. The intersection of Montreal Street at John Counter will experience delays for upgrades to the intersection, including new lighting, traffic signals, lanes, paving and signage to improve safety and efficiency for all road users and accommodate increased traffic from the Waaban Crossing. Ontario Street will see closures for the new commemorative crosswalks as follows: at Lower Union – closed Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. to Oct. 28 at 4 a.m. for the installation of commemorative crosswalks. at Lower Union – closed Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the unveiling of commemorative crosswalks. A closure will take place on Queen Street from King to Ontario on Oct. 28 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to complete asphalt restoration and the removal of jersey barriers. Taylor Kidd Boulevard will experience delays from Collins Bay to Coronation beginning Oct. 30 at 7 a.m. to Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. for the replacement of two culverts. Delays are also expected along Truedell Road from Development to Danbury while a contractor completes road and sidewalk improvements. Work will be taking place on and around Victoria Street as follows: Victoria St. will be closed: from Union Street to Johnson Street for sewer separation and road rehabilitation work. Both Victoria Street and Earl Street will experience delays while a contractor mobilizes to the site to start work on the second phase of reconstruction of sewer, watermain, sidewalks and road. Welbourne Avenue will be closed from Chelsea to Everitt on Oct. 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for the Wicked Welbourne Block Party. LaSalle Causeway Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is advising the public that the LaSalle Causeway will be fully closed to vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians to allow for the temporary opening of the main marine navigation channel during the following periods: Nov. 2, 16 Time: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
