Rivals No. 1 safety Kamarui Dorsey commits to Texas A&M

Hampton (Ga.) High blue-chipper and Rivals No. 1 2027 safety Kamarui Dorsey has committed to Texas A&M. The Peach State product chose to play for head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies over his other top schools in Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Florida State, LSU and Nebraska. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Dorsey is tabbed by the Rivals Industry as the nation’s No. 41 overall prospect. He checks in at No. 12 in the Rivals300 and is also the No. 1 player in Georgia. Dorsey was in College Station earlier this fall, a trip highlighted by Texas A&M’s victory over Mississippi State. He said it was his best trip of the process and now he’s in the fold. “What excites me about them is everything,” Dorsey said. “I love their culture, their coaches, and their players for sure. “Everything stood out in every way and everything you would look for in a college. I love what they are doing and what they are building over there for sure.” Dorsey becomes commit No. 5 for Elko and Texas A&M in the 2027 cycle, adding to a haul previously ranked No. 3 in the country. “How A&M compares to others is that they are very down to earth from the start,” Dorsey has said. “They keep it real with you and let you know how they feel about you and just 100 percent truthful. Like I got along with everyone on the staff, literally everyone. They are very high energy, want the best for you and you can be yourself all the time but they also expect the best out of you but feeling that common ground of both. “They just stand out from all perspectives.”
