From print to cable news: On Monday, CNN announced that Marie Beaudette is joining the network as vice president, business and media. Beaudette will be based in New York. In this position, Beaudette will oversee the organization’s business and media coverage, leading strategy and content. She was previously the chief of business, finance, and economics coverage at The Wall Street Journal, having been part of the Dow Jones family for 20 years.
Meanwhile, Zachary Fryer-Biggs is joining CNN as a supervising editor for national security. Joining from Military.com, where he was the managing editor, Fryer-Biggs will lead CNN’s daily and enterprise reporting on the national security beat.

Finally, CNN promoted Omar Jimenez to anchor and correspondent. He has served as a fill-in anchor across various dayparts on CNN and CNN International’s schedule. As a correspondent, Jimenez covered the 2025 New Orleans terror attack on New Year’s Day; 2024’s Republican Presidential Primary; 2023’s deadliest mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine; and the murder of George Floyd in 2020.
From local to cable: NewsNation announced that Jessica Kartalija will join the network as a national correspondent. Based in New York, Kartalija will report across the network’s daytime and primetime programming. She was previously with Philadelphia’s WPVI-TV, where she served as a reporter for 6abc’s Action News.
Hollywood hire: NBC News Digital has named Rebecca Keegan its senior Hollywood reporter, based in Los Angeles. She will publish exclusive, enterprising, and analytical reporting for NBCNews.com on all platforms, working closely with entertainment correspondent Chloe Melas, the network’s L.A. bureau, and beyond. Keegan joins NBC News from The Hollywood Reporter.

Business hire: Bloomberg TV announced that Norah Mulinda is joining the network as a markets correspondent, mainly contributing to the network’s daily markets programs. Mulinda was previously with Bloomberg News’ U.S. equities team, where she covered real estate, aerospace, defense, and macro markets news as a New York-based reporter.
